Our Process | Northwood Children's Services

Our Process

Northwood Children’s Services provides year round treatment and a referral for admission may take place at any time. Waitlists for our programs may vary based on gender and/or age of the child being referred. Acceptance is based on a review of the student’s current and past history of behavior, consultation with parents and professionals, and psychological testing when appropriate. Admitting criteria depends on which program best suits the child. Appropriate candidates are males and females, ages 3-17, with a history of emotional and behavioral problems. We are not a dual diagnosis program, so children with chemical dependency diagnosis or need for chemical dependency treatment would not be appropriate for our programs.
