• How long have you worked at Northwood? What’s your position?
I have been with NW for 3 years 8 months. I started as a full time overnight awake counselor. After 9 months, I switched to a day time counselor. Most recently, I was promoted to Honors CADI House Supervisor 1 month ago.
• What makes you want to come to work everyday?
I absolutely love the kids, they may be difficult at times but seeing progress in kids I work with makes the struggles worth it.
• What made you want to work with kids?
I may have a degree in finance and financial planning but I have always had a job focused around youth. Kids have an energy that no adult can give.
• What’s the best part about your job?
Working with the students to create and improve upon their independent living skills as well as give them appropriate life skills to succeed outside of residential treatment.
• What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I love to spend time with my family, especially my 7 year old who enjoys snuggles and going for walks to the neighborhood park.
