It is with a happy heart that we share this letter from one of our graduating Seniors. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors and much happiness as they continue toward their goals.
Dear Mr. Richard Wolleat and Executive Board Members,
It is with great appreciation that I write this letter. I want to first provide you with a thank you for such a positive experience at Northwood. I would like you to know how much you and everyone at Northwood has helped me. It is honestly incredible. I have definitely changed so much and I cannot believe I’m about to be on my own today, and be heading to college soon. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without you all. I want to be able to visit the campuses and just be able to check in once in awhile. I have a lot to show appreciation for, but mostly I want to highlight the fact that the facility has been more of a family to me than my own blood. That will always remain in such a positive memory and I will always remember how much you all changed me for the better. It is amazing when I put my maturity in perspective from age 15 to age 18. A lot changed. My confidence was boosted incredibly, and my mental health has been improved so much and I feel so excited and eager to start my own path. Depression and anxiety have held me back in the past, but really I just learned so much from being on the residential team, and once I was transferred to corporate foster care, I was enabled to become more independent with each passing day. A huge thank you goes out to you for being such positive role models and being some of the biggest influential people in my life. I owe a lot to you and the company. I hope that I can reconnect in a few years or a decade to give you an update on all the positive changes that have been made.
