The Little Learner’s Enrichment Center is an early intervention program for toddlers and preschoolers. Children enrolled are at risk due to emotional, behavioral, or learning problems.
Program Overview
This program follows an early childhood education model that emphasizes the acquisition of social, physical, and academic skills. Children learn skills that will enable them to eventually mainstream into regular education.
Program Components
Little Learner’s includes daily individual or group therapy, incorporating cognitive/behavioral, play, and behavior modification. Art, language, math, music, physical activities, and more are provided to encourage the child’s mental, emotional, and physical development. Home-based family services are provided as needed to ensure family preservation and support.
Referral Process
Children in this program must be 3-5 years old and have a clinical diagnosis from the Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood, or DC: 0-5. A child may be referred to the program by a mental health professional, local school district, county social worker, hospital, childcare provider, or their parents.
