The Northwood Diagnostic and Assessment Center provides a comprehensive 35-day evaluation. This is a live-in program where children stay in a therapeutic environment while a multidisciplinary team conducts a full psychological, psychiatric, family, behavioral, educational, and medical evaluation. Specific treatment recommendations are created for each child’s emotional, social, cognitive, physical, and behavioral needs.
Referral Process
Children referred to the Center must be between 5 and 17 years old. Northwood welcomes inquiries from mental health professionals, local school districts, county social workers, hospitals, and parents.
Staff
Each assessment is conducted by professional staff including a psychiatrist, psychologist, nurse, educators, youth counselors, and a supervisor.
