Navigating Behavioral Health in the Public Schools: Tips and Strategies for Parents and Caregivers

Presented by: Ed Wehmas, LICSW Northwood Intensive Day Treatment Therapist at Lincoln Middle School
The Family Success Program is for the families of children who are receiving services from Northwood.
Presenters are selected from various areas of the agency and their topics are chosen based on their specialties and areas of expertise. The topics are designed to cover a wide range of mental health needs that will provide helpful insights and parenting tools.
This program is an opportunity to meet other parents who might share similar experiences in order to find common ground and identify practical solutions to everyday parenting problems.
Families that attend regularly will receive a certificate for their participation in the program.
Lunch will be provided by the Northwood Kitchen Staff.
Child care is available for students and their siblings. We ask that if a sibling is attending that you make arrangements to have your student to come as well.
Parents of students residing at the Main Campus is responsible for their student’s transportation to the West Campus. Please let your student’s team supervisor know about your attendance so they can plan accordingly.
